How to be come a fundraiser
What do I need to create a campaign?
We encourage NGOs to use photos and text to tell a compelling story that will resonate with your audience. At the minimum, you should have:

  • A story describing your objective.
  • Fundraising goal in MVR.
  • Campaign timeline, including an end date.
  • Relevant photos/videos for your cause.

How do I create my campaign?
You can start creating your campaign by logging into your Kindly account. For new NGOs, this will be once registration is completed on Kindly.

How can I update my profile?
You can update your profile by Logging in to your Kindly account.
How do I register on Kindly?
If you are a NGO with 2 years of establishment, click here to register. Once registration is complete, you will be notified through email and invited to create a profile and start your campaign. All updates will be approved by Kindly Team.

About Kindly
What is Kindly?
Kindly is an online crowdfunding platform where registered non-profit organizations (NGOs) can raise funds for various campaigns.

Donors can donate to the campaigns on Kindly using BML debit cards.
How does Kindly work?
Kindly allow local registered NGOs that are active for two years to start fundraising campaigns on the portal.  NGOs can set a fundraising goal, write their story, and add compelling photos and videos to help promote campaigns.
Once the campaign is approved by BML, 

NGOs can share the campaign on social media or share directly with associates, friends and family.

NGOs can update the Campaign page with milestones, photos and other updates easily to keep donors informed of progress.

Creating fundraising campaigns
I have already submitted my campaign, then why does it show “Pending for approval”?
Pending status indicates your campaign is being verified by the Administrator.
Can I delete a campaign?
You cannot delete a live or expired campaign.
Can I edit & update goal of the campaign?
Yes. You can access your campaign from Campaigns and the campaign story and your goal. The changes will be reviewed by Kindly Team and published once approved.
Is there any charges on Kindly?
Kindly is a free platform to help NGOs to raise funds. We do not charge a startup fee, or charge on funds raised and no additional fees. However, please note there is a transaction fee of 2.5%
Do I get to see my contributors and how much they contributed?
Yes, you do. You have access to your campaign and can check who contributed and how much by logging into your Kindly account. You can also use your Internet Banking to check amounts received for each campaign, if you have multiple active campaigns.
My campaign was rejected. How do I know the reason for rejection?
Campaigns will be rejected if they do not adhere to the Terms & Conditions. If you feel you need more information, you can reach out to the Kindly Team.
What is the maximum duration of a campaign?
There is no maximum duration for a campaign but we suggest keeping a reasonable timeframe to allow for donations.
Can I extend my deadline?
Deadline can be extended once verified by Kindly Team.
What if I raise more than my goal?
Any funds raised for the campaign will be credited to your account.
What if I don’t meet my fundraising goal? Do I still get the funds?
Yes, all funds raised will be credited to your account.
I have set the campaign duration, from when will the countdown start?
The campaign countdown starts once the campaign is validated by Kindly Team.
What do you check before approving a campaign?
Before approving a campaign, we go through the details provided by the NGO. We will contact you for any missing items or if we feel your campaign needs to be enhanced. The checklist we follow includes but is not limited to -

  • Cause - Is it a social good cause that aims to help the community
  • Title - Whether your title is apt and conveys the essence of your campaign
  • Description - Will the contributors understand your aim and the cause you raising funds for
  • Story - Have you provided adequate information for the donor to make a decision to contribute
  • Link check - Whether the link to the website or Facebook page is working and related to your cause and/or belongs to you
  • Feasibility - Is it feasible to achieve your goal in the stipulated time
  • Images - Are the images high resolution and appropriate
  • Video – Video is appropriate

Donating through Kindly
Where can I see my donation details on the campaign I just supported?
You can see your donation details under the donations tab on the campaign page. You also have the option to keep it as anonymous by ticking the anonymous box that appears when you make a donation.
How do I know that my contribution was utilized for the purpose?
We encourage NGOs to provide updates to their donors. If you have any questions related to the campaigns, please reach out to the NGOs.
How do I know my funds have reached the NGO?
Funds donated to a campaign are credited to the NGOs dedicated bank account. You may contact the NGO for further information.
How much of the funds raised reach the creator?
Funds donated to a campaign are credited to the NGOs dedicated bank account. You may contact the NGO for further information.
What is the minimum and maximum amount for a donation?
100% of the funds will be credited to the NGOs minus Transaction Fees. The Bank’s Transaction Fees of 2.5% are applicable for these transactions. However, the Bank will donate equivalent amount to the NGOs in the first year.
Do I need to sign up to contribute?
No, you do not need to sign up to contribute. However, you can share your email, in case you want to NGOs to share their updates with you by email.
Who can donate money?
All donors with a BML issued debit card can donate funds to campaigns posted on Kindly.
